New Orleans Living Room

I recently got back from New Orleans, my second favorite city in the U.S. It's filled with rich culture, art and music. It's wonderful. I created this living room board based off New Orleans and its French influence.  New Orleans most famous festival, Mardi Gras whose colors are purple, green and yellow. I was ecstatic to incorporate my purchase from last years JazzFest, amazing art work of 3 Mardi Gras women. They are my favorite decor piece ever and am constantly inspired by them.  Enjoy!

All Around The World

Moving days is X amount of days away... could be tomorrow, could be three weeks. All I do is fantasize about decorating, furniture, kitchen buffets, etc. I’ve always been a bit modern in my decorating taste, but for this apartment I plan to reflect our travels. We have great art and décor from all over the place: New Orleans, Dominican, Bahamas and I’d really like to exhibit a multi-cultural household. Check out these great pieces of art I bought while in New Orleans. I purchased directly from the artist who was a hoot!!! Apparently, these ladies are supposed to be reflections of her… who mind you was about 80 years old/grey hair/ tiny tiny.

I can't wait...
